Like most of us, my waistline has taken quite a beating during lockdown! I’ve found it far to easy to snack through the days while working at home.
So I’ve decided to start eating a bit better, but don’t worry, North East Food is still here! I thought I’d share one of my most recent healthy alternatives as, to be honest, it’s awesome! I’ve come up with a health wrap recipe to replace the bread I’m no longer eating.
After using pease pudding as a healthy pastry alternative, I decided to try that as a base ingredient. That means the wraps are healthy, vegetarian and best of all low-calorie!
The wraps are even gluten-free, around 85 calories each and go amazing with ham and cheese, hot or cold. Genuinely can’t believe how fantastic these are. Basically, a diet-friendly snack doesn’t get more geordie than this ? ?
Can’t buy pease pudding where you are to make these? Make your own with our recipe (not vegetarian).
